Rebecca Perry White Porcelain Vase I

£45.00

About the piece
White Porcelain and Slip Glaze Vase. Dark blue internal glaze.

  • 6cm width x 16cm height

About the artist
Rebecca graduated from Staffordshire University in 2018 and was the winner of the Peak District Artisans Young Emerging Artisan Award in 2019. She now has a studio in Sheffield at Yorkshire Artspace. Rebecca's ceramic practice is driven by her expressive painting style, with the abstract marks influenced by shapes and lines within the landscape.

She translates the colours and textures onto her pots using slip decoration, mono-printing and bold glazes. To create her earthenware and porcelain vessels, Rebecca uses a combination of slip casting and hand building. The form is kept simple with curved sides to allow for the decoration to be the focal point of each piece.

The interiors are glazed with rich, vibrant colours to give a contrast between the inside and exterior. Each piece is made with function in mind, bringing rich hues and echoes of the landscape into the home.
